Senior API & Integration Developer

Salary: $110,000 - 140,000 per year Requirements:

• At least 5 years of professional software development experience, including substantial systems integration work.
• Strong experience designing and using REST APIs and web services.
• Experience with OAuth 2.0, API keys, tokens, and other authentication methods.
• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript/Node.js, C#, or a comparable server-side language.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases.
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for internal web applications.
• Experience integrating commercial SaaS platforms and managing rate limits, pagination, retries, logging, and error conditions.
• Experience with source control and structured deployment practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex problems independently and take ownership of production systems.
• Experience with mortgage, banking, fintech, financial services, Salesforce, ICE Mortgage Technology/Encompass APIs, Five9, RingCentral, NICE, Genesys, Velocify, Snowflake, Domo, Customer.io, Microsoft Azure, Entra ID, monitoring and observability tools, or regulated environments such as those governed by GLBA, TCPA, or SOC 2 is a plus, but not required.

• Design, develop, and maintain API integrations across our core technology platforms.
• Create middleware and automated processes to synchronize records, statuses, and activity between systems.
• Develop internal web applications and tools that reduce repetitive administrative work.
• Automate user provisioning and other workflows across platforms.
• Build and maintain data pipelines for our data warehouse and business intelligence platforms.
• Set up monitoring and alerts to identify integration failures and data issues promptly.
• Troubleshoot API failures, authentication issues, data mismatches, and vendor platform changes.
• Maintain consistent customer and transaction identities across systems for attribution and reporting.
• Replace fragile file transfers and manual processes with reliable, API-driven solutions.
• Implement and validate consumer contact preferences and suppression handling across outbound communication channels.
• Write technical specifications for externally developed web properties and verify that vendor implementations meet them.
• Document integrations, dependencies, recovery procedures, and technical standards.
• Apply appropriate security practices when handling consumer financial information.

Were modernizing our CRM, contact center technology, integrations, automation, and analytics across two mortgage origination channels. In this hands-on, autonomous individual-contributor role, youll own the connective layer across our technology platforms and work directly with our CTO, with a visible impact on customer responsiveness, operational efficiency, and business performance. Custom .NET development within the Encompass loan origination system is handled separately and is not part of this role. This is a full-time, fully remote position with standard business hours and flexibility for collaboration across time zones; occasional after-hours support for critical production issues and limited travel for major planning or implementation sessions may be needed. Annual pay is $110,000–$140,000. Benefits include 401(k) matching, a health savings account, and paid time off.
