Nurse Practitioner (NP) Beaufort, South Carolina | Part-Time | Beaufort County Detention Center Coastal Management Solutions, Inc.is actively seeking a qualified Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide healthcare services at the Beaufort County Detention Center in Beaufort, South Carolina. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated advanced practice provider to deliver high-quality patient care in a correctional healthcare setting while collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Position Highlights Part-time opportunity Start Date: July 1, 2026 Schedule: Wednesday Hours: 5 hours per week Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM Collaborative healthcare environment Opportunity to serve a diverse patient population Professional support available 24/7, including: On-call nursing services On-call Physician/Advanced Practice Provider services On-call professional mental health services Responsibilities The Nurse Practitioner (NP) will: Conduct patient assessments and provide diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care. Determine and implement daily plans of care in collaboration with physicians, psychiatrists, nurses, psychologists, physician assistants, and other healthcare professionals. Evaluate and manage acute and chronic medical conditions. Order, review, and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory results. Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and facility protocols. Participate in intake health evaluations, chronic care clinics, and patient follow-up appointments. Take calls for physicians when on duty and provide appropriate clinical guidance and interventions. Maintain accurate, complete, and timely medical documentation. Ensure compliance with facility policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory standards. Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives. Minimum Qualifications Qualified candidates must: Possess a current, active, and unrestricted South Carolina Nurse Practitioner license. Maintain a current DEA registration certificate. Demonstrate strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and patient care skills. Possess excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Be eligible to work in the United States and meet all applicable employment requirements. Preferred Qualifications Experience in correctional healthcare, family practice, primary care, emergency medicine, or public health. Experience working within interdisciplinary healthcare teams. Experience providing care in underserved or high-acuity environments.
