Senior Civil/Structural Engineer

Position Summary Design Engineering Inc. is seeking an experienced Louisiana Licensed Civil/Structural Engineer with 7 to 10 years of experience in transportation projects—including roadway design, bridge design, hydrology and hydraulics, drainage design, and flood protection. The ideal candidate will be an expert in calculations and designs and will be able to assemble plans and specifications for public advertisement and bidding. Responsibilities Work collaboratively with Professional Engineers, Engineer Interns, and Drafters. Assemble plans and specifications for public advertisement and bidding. Perform transportation project design tasks related to roadway, bridge, hydrology, hydraulics, drainage, and flood protection. Schedule: 8‑hour shift; the company can accommodate 100% remote work if necessary. Must be able to commute to or relocate to Metairie, LA 70002. Potential travel up to 25% (preferred). Qualifications Active Louisiana Professional Engineer license. Minimum of 7 to 10 years of relevant experience. Demonstrated expertise in transportation projects, roadway design, bridge design, hydrology & hydraulics, drainage design, and flood protection. Strong ability to perform calculations, design, and assemble plans and specifications. Team‑oriented mindset with effective communication skills.
