Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced CVOR RN for a Level-II Trauma Center requiring cardiothoracic/vascular surgical support and an active VA or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in a multi-service Level-II Trauma Center with 15 surgical suites, including one hybrid OR
• Support a surgical team of 3 cardiothoracic surgeons and 5 vascular surgeons
• Provide circulating support across core service lines with scrubbing experience a plus
• Day shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00 AM-7:30 PM)
• Uses Epic EMR
• Floating may be requested based on facility needs
• On-call requirements include four weekday call shifts (Mon-Fri, end of shift until 7 AM) and four weekend call shifts covering both day (7a-7p) and night (7p-7a) on Saturdays and Sundays per month

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license (VA state or compact) required in hand at time of consideration
• BLS and ACLS certifications required through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required
• Cardiothoracic surgery experience preferred, including high-acuity surgical support for cardiac, thoracic, and vascular cases
• Epic EMR experience required
• NIH Stroke Scale education required
• Prior travel experience required
• Specialty experience within the last year required
• One supervisory reference required for consideration
• Social Security Number required at time of consideration

Additional Information

• Provide circulating and surgical support for a high-acuity cardiovascular surgical program
• All facility managers conduct phone interviews prior to confirming placement
• Candidates cannot work both travel assignments and per diem contracts simultaneously at this health system
• Former permanent employees must have a 6-month gap before being eligible for travel assignments
• RTO requests should be minimal, ideally none during the assignment and no more than 7 days total, submitted at time of initial application
• No additional RTO requests will be approved after an offer is extended
• Local candidates accepted at the same base rate
