Roles & Responsibilities

• Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist
• Provide evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to improve strength, coordination, mobility, and independence with ADLs
• Assist patients with functional training, adaptive equipment use, and therapeutic activities
• Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising Occupational Therapist
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy techniques and home exercise programs
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and the interdisciplinary rehabilitation team to ensure quality patient care
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with facility and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

• Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) License in California
• Associate Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Current CPR/BLS Certification (if required by facility)
• SNF experience preferred but not required
• Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program
