As a Maintenance Planner you will provide job plans for daily maintenance activities and expense projects, prepares job packages, and provide planning assistance for emergency shutdowns. You can help achieve this goal if you can: Provide job plans for daily maintenance activities, prepares job packages for expense projects and provide planning assistance for emergency shutdowns. Receive and review work orders that have been authorized by the users of Maintenance services. Prepare a work scope and establish the labor, tools, material, and equipment required for work orders. Estimate, plan, and requisition manpower, materials, and equipment for approved work orders. Prepare/supply drawings, sketches, bid packages, specifications, procedures, etc. that will aid the Maintenance Supervisor for all planned jobs. Maintain the records essential to the effective operation of the planning and scheduling areas of responsibility. Coordinate the scheduling of the planned work with Maintenance supervision, Operations, Safety and the Purchasing Department to achieve maximum efficiency and cost management in a proactive manner. Accumulate costs for reporting purposes on specific jobs. Assist in monitoring the productivity of contractors performing work in the refinery. Be proficient and available to cover for Maintenance Supervisors when needed. Perform other duties as assigned. This position is salaried exempt status, which means you are not eligible for overtime pay.

Minimum Requirements: Able and willing to work on-site, in-person at the Valero McKee Refinery, required. High school diploma or GED required. 3 years of planning and/or maintenance experience in refining or a related industry required. Experience reading engineering drawings, such as plot plans, piping isometrics, and P&IDs required. Experience using computer-based planning and scheduling tools required. Preferred Requirements: Bachelor's or higher level degree in a related field preferred. Planning experience in refinery maintenance strongly preferred. Drafting experience preferred. Supervisory experience preferred.
