Job Description Key Responsibilities: Lead all field operations for retail, tenant improvement, commercial interior, and renovation projects Manage jobsite safety, quality control, and daily project execution Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, vendors, and trade partners throughout all phases of construction Develop and maintain project schedules while ensuring critical milestones are achieved Manage work in occupied buildings with minimal disruption to customers, tenants, and ongoing business operations Review drawings, specifications, schedules, and project documents to ensure successful execution Conduct daily site walks and proactively identify potential issues before they impact project performance Coordinate inspections, punch list activities, and project closeout efforts Maintain strong communication with Project Managers, clients, architects, consultants, and ownership groups Ensure all work is completed according to contract requirements, project specifications, and company quality standards Lead project meetings and provide regular updates on project progress, safety, and schedule status Drive accountability across all trades to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. The Successful Applicant The Successful Candidate: 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, or field leader within commercial construction Proven experience leading retail construction, tenant improvement, commercial interiors, store remodels, fit‑outs, renovations, or occupied‑space projects Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, quality control, safety management, and subcontractor coordination Ability to effectively manage multiple trades and maintain productivity in fast‑paced project environments Experience working within active facilities where customer experience and operational continuity are critical Strong knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills with owners, architects, subcontractors, tenants, and project teams Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to successfully manage multiple priorities.
