Position Summary

MS Companies is hiring immediately for a Quality Manager to lead quality operations at key customer sites within the automotive manufacturing industry. This role is responsible for overall quality performance, customer relationship management, team leadership, and operational execution across assigned programs. The Quality Manager drives strategic direction, ensures successful program launches, and maintains compliance with customer and company standards while leading continuous improvement initiatives. This role holds full ownership of customer relationships, quality performance, and financial results for assigned programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead all on-site quality operations, including supervision of assistant quality managers, supervisors, and inspection teams
• Serve as the primary customer contact for all quality-related matters, ensuring strong and consistent communication
• Oversee new program launches, ensuring successful implementation of quality processes and customer requirements
• Own containment, corrective action, and resolution of customer quality issues, including root cause analysis and long-term solutions
• Ensure compliance with customer specifications, internal standards, and quality system requirements
• Manage and improve quality procedures, ensuring updates align with evolving customer and operational needs
• Analyze operational and quality data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
• Drive Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives across assigned accounts
• Oversee financial performance of assigned programs, including budgeting, cost control, and P&L responsibility
• Ensure effective execution of sorting, containment, and rework activities when required
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external customers through clear communication and documentation
• Travel to multiple customer locations as needed to support operations, launches, and issue resolution
• Support special projects, escalations, and strategic initiatives as assigned

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to visually identify defects in color, shape, size, or texture of parts
• Must be able to hear and differentiate sounds in a manufacturing environment
• Must be able to sit, stand, walk, and move throughout the workday for extended periods on concrete floors (up to 10-12 hours)
• Must be able to move within buildings and operational areas, including ascending and descending stairs
• Must be able to reach, turn, stoop, bend, crouch, kneel, and maintain balance to prevent falls
• Must be able to reach overhead and perform repetitive movements
• Must be able to lift, carry, transfer, push, and pull up to 30 lbs.
• Must be able to grasp with both hands and perform fine motor tasks requiring coordination and repetitive motion
• Good hand-eye coordination for inspection and material handling
• Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5+ years of leadership or management experience in automotive manufacturing, quality, or production environments
• Proven experience managing teams, operations, and customer relationships
• Proficiency with digital systems (e.g., Salesforce or similar platforms) preferred
• Experience with root cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone)
• Strong understanding of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices
• Experience with P&L responsibility or operational budget management preferred
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Strong analytical and decision-making abilities with a focus on results and accountability
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data/reporting systems
