Job Summary:
Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Nurse in Shreveport, Louisiana. This position involves providing specialized recovery care to patients emerging from anesthesia following surgical procedures. The role requires managing patients across a broad clinical spectrum, including those with critical care needs, in a dynamic healthcare setting.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with a minimum of 40 hours per week. The primary shift is from 11:30 AM to 8:00 PM, with flexibility to work several shifts depending on operational needs.
• Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (preferred); 1 year of experience in PACU or related nursing specialty; RN License in state of employment or compact; BLS certification from AHA; ACLS certification from AHA; PALS or ENPC certification from AHA or ENA.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in perioperative nursing, OR or perioperative setting preferred.
• Additional Information: All newly hired experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire. Precepted by a designated trained staff member, with onboarding validated through successful completion of designed organizational entry competency validation and perioperative department-specific competency validation. Completion of all annual competency verification requirements is necessary.
