About Industrial SupplyIndustrial Supply has been serving customers for 110 years, building our reputation on dependable service, strong relationships, and people who take pride in doing the job right.We're looking for an organized and dependable Branch VMI Specialist to help support our VMI operations in Las Vegas.Job SummaryThe Branch VMI Specialist helps keep our Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) program running smoothly.This position supports VMI routes, drivers, customer inventory programs, vending solutions, and branch operations. You'll help prepare routes, troubleshoot inventory issues, maintain vending and Point-of-Use (POU) programs, train team members, and step in as a backup VMI driver when needed.We're looking for someone who is organized, hands-on, dependable, and good at solving problems.What You'll DoVMI Routes & DriversPrepare and stage VMI routes so drivers can leave on time with everything they need.Review routes and help improve efficiency.Serve as a backup VMI driver when needed.Help ensure required vehicle and DOT inspections are completed.Track proof-of-delivery documentation and make sure VMI procedures are followed.Help maintain consistent customer route schedules.Vending & Point-of-Use ProgramsHelp set up vending machines, bins, and other Point-of-Use inventory solutions.Keep customer inventory areas organized, clean, and properly labeled.Evaluate VMI setups and make improvements when needed.Perform basic preventative maintenance on vending machines.Help troubleshoot vending and inventory issues.Monitor stockouts and backorders and help coordinate solutions.Customers, Sales & InventoryCommunicate with customers regarding VMI needs and service issues.Work closely with inside and outside sales teams.Help identify additional product or sales opportunities at customer locations.Coordinate with the Branch Lead to maintain appropriate branch inventory levels.Help ensure customer orders and VMI inventory are processed accurately.Training & Branch SupportHelp onboard and train new VMI team members.Teach employees VMI processes, procedures, equipment, and customer expectations.Make sure team members have the tools and information needed to do their jobs.Provide warehouse support when needed.Assist with order processing and vend-pack preparation.Help maintain an organized and effective vend-pack process.Support other branch projects and responsibilities as needed.What We're Looking ForStrong communication and customer service skills.Dependable, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Comfortable working with barcode scanners, vending software, and inventory systems.Safe driving habits with an acceptable driving record.Ability to meet applicable DOT medical requirements.Forklift experience or ability to become trained.Positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed.Helpful ExperienceExperience in any of the following would be beneficial:Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI)Route delivery or route managementWarehouse or inventory operationsIndustrial distributionVending systemsCustomer serviceEmployee trainingInventory or order-management systemsWhy Join Industrial Supply?The Branch VMI Specialist plays an important role in keeping our VMI team organized and our customers taken care of.You'll have the opportunity to work across several areas of the operation-inventory, routes, vending, customers, training, and branch support-while becoming a key resource for the Las Vegas VMI team.For 110 years, Industrial Supply has built its business around dependable people and great customer service.If you're organized, enjoy solving problems, and like being the person others can count on to keep things moving, we'd like to hear from you.
