Job Description – Sanitation Lead (Night Shift) – Dairy Production

We are partnering with a  leading North American dairy manufacturer to hire an experienced  Sanitation Supervisor (Night Shift) for their high-volume production facility in  Bellingham, WA . This role plays a critical part in ensuring food safety, sanitation excellence, and compliance with regulatory standards in a fast-paced dairy processing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all  CIP (Clean-in-Place) sanitation programs.
• Oversee  HTST (High Temperature Short Time) pasteurizer cleaning and sanitation.
• Troubleshoot CIP issues, including sensor replacements, air fittings, and system adjustments.
• Plan and allocate manpower for manual cleaning tasks; adjust workloads as needed.
• Monitor and document chemical usage, ensuring adherence to safe operating procedures.
• Review sanitation charts and documentation from CIP and HTST systems.
• Conduct cleanliness verification and sanitation testing.
• Ensure strict compliance with  GMP , sanitation SOPs, and workplace safety guidelines.
• Address performance and attendance matters for sanitation team members.
• Recommend and implement sanitation process improvements.
• Communicate daily with QA and facility leadership.
• Foster a positive, high-performing team culture.

Requirements

• 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience (food or dairy manufacturing preferred).
• 1–2 years of experience in a high-volume production environment.
• Working knowledge of  GMP , SOPs, and WHMIS/hazardous materials handling.
• Mechanical aptitude is an asset.
• Ability to work in hot/cold environments, handle chemicals, and lift up to 50 lbs .
• Comfortable kneeling, climbing, bending, and performing repetitive physical tasks.
• Ability to work in a humid, noisy food-production setting.
