Quality Engineer

As a Quality Engineer at QLS, you will support supplier quality initiatives by guiding clients through PPAP, APQP, and corrective action processes. You will serve as a technical liaison between OEMs and their suppliers, driving root cause analysis and continuous improvement.

Locations: Nashville, TN / Remote

Type: Full-Time

Responsibilities:

• Lead PPAP and APQP activities for new and existing programs
• Conduct root cause analysis using 8D, 5-Why, and fishbone methods
• Develop and review control plans, PFMEAs, and inspection procedures
• Support on-site and remote quality audits at supplier and OEM facilities
• Provide technical guidance to Quality Technicians in the field
• Prepare reports and present findings to clients and internal leadership

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in supplier quality or quality engineering
• Strong knowledge of AIAG core tools (PPAP, APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC)
• Proficiency with quality management systems (ISO 9001)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or similar certification
• Experience in automotive, heavy-duty truck, or aerospace industries
• Proficiency with Minitab or similar statistical software
