Role Overview: The CT Technologist applies expertise to deliver safe, high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience. They work independently, operating imaging equipment, capturing diagnostic images, and ensuring patient safety and comfort. Key Responsibilities Perform CT procedures following departmental guidelines, adjusting techniques to maintain diagnostic quality while minimizing radiation exposure. Maintain equipment cleanliness, identify issues, and report maintenance needs promptly. Obtain clinical history, verify patient identity, and explain procedures to reduce anxiety using AIDET communication principles. Ensure patient safety, comfort, and privacy; administer contrast media using sterile techniques when needed. Position patients correctly, apply markers, shielding, and immobilization; review images for quality, repeating exams if necessary. Document procedures accurately in RIS/PACS systems; manage exam transfers and retrievals. Monitor patient conditions, respond to emergencies, and assist with life-support equipment and crash carts. Organize workflows, support department operations, maintain compliance, and assist with clerical tasks. Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program. Minimum one year of radiology experience. Certifications: ARRT - R (Radiography), ARRT - CT, and BLS from the American Heart Association.
