Packaging Technician

*Packaging Technician* *Location:* Gainesville, FL *Pay:* $15/hr *Schedule:* * *First 2 weeks:* MonThurs | 7AM 5:30PM (4x10 schedule) * *After training:* Transition to a staggered 4x10 schedule (days TBD by production needs) *Position Summary* The Packaging Technician is responsible for supporting daily packaging operations in a fast-paced cannabis production environment. This hands-on role focuses on packaging, labeling, weighing, quality control, inventory tracking, and maintaining a clean, compliant workspace. During the first two months, technicians may also assist with basic cultivation support as needed before operations transition to the greenhouse. *Responsibilities* * Package, weigh, label, and prepare finished cannabis products according to company and regulatory standards. * Verify product accuracy, strain separation, and packaging quality. * Maintain accurate production and inventory records. * Follow SOPs, GMPs, and all safety and compliance procedures. * Keep packaging equipment and work areas clean and sanitized. * Assist with basic plant handling and post-harvest activities as needed. * Support team production goals while maintaining quality and efficiency. *Qualifications* * Must be 21 years of age or older * High School Diploma or GED * Valid FL Driver's License * Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment * Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures * Packaging, manufacturing, warehouse, production, food processing, or cannabis experience preferred *Physical Requirements* * Ability to stand, bend, lift up to 25 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift. * Comfortable working in warm production environments. * Ability to wear required PPE. *Additional Information* * $60 LiveScan fingerprint/compliance fee required prior to starting. * During the first 2mo employees will primarily work in packaging pods with occasional support in cultivation before transitioning to greenhouse operations.
