Seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist for a part-time contract opportunity supporting students in grades 7-12 in the greater Detroit area. This year-round position begins August 13th and is ideal for professionals interested in working in diverse school environments, including a secure treatment facility for juvenile males.

You will provide services across up to four school sites, with a manageable caseload currently involving just six students; four of whom require consultative support only. Most campuses have students in need of your expertise, and over time, you may serve all four schools. Direct services are provided onsite one day per week, and you have the flexibility to complete paperwork from home to support your work/life balance.

Desired Skills & Experience:

• Active licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) in Michigan
• Strong background with school-based practice (grades 7-12 experience preferred)
• Versatility to support students across multiple school settings, including secure facilities
• Familiarity or experience with consultative models and direct therapeutic interventions
• Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage part-time caseload efficiently
• Experience in home health OT, healthcare, or other school OT roles beneficial

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct OT services to students onsite, tailoring interventions to support student success
• Serve as a consult for students who do not require direct, ongoing therapy
• Maintain student records and complete required documentation, with the ability to do so from home
• Communicate progress and strategies to teachers, support staff, and families
• Travel between school sites in the Detroit region as needed
