Principal CAD/BIM Designer

Hazen and Sawyer is seeking a Principal CAD/BIM Designer to collaborate with project managers and engineers in developing process mechanical BIM (Revit) models, families, and contract drawings for water, wastewater, and pump station facility projects. Work Setting In-person (All in office/field) Key Responsibilities Developing Revit models, families, and contract documents. Lay out process mechanical piping in Revit to create enlarged plans, sections, and details. Coordinate with site civil, structural, architectural, HVAC, electrical, and I&C disciplines to identify and resolve design conflicts. Perform clash detection at submittal milestones and support clash resolution. Incorporate engineer and CAD/BIM Coordinator redlines into drawings and models. Coordinate design submittals with project discipline leads. Verify deliverables comply with Hazen and client CAD/BIM standards. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of relevant experience, or associate degree/technical certification with 10+ years of relevant experience. Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and Autodesk FORMA, formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC). Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D is preferred. Experience leading and coordinating construction contract drawings for medium- and large-scale projects. Experience mentoring early-career designers. Preferred Qualifications Hands‑on Revit experience, especially with MEP design. Process Mechanical Revit experience. Experience collaborating across disciplines.
