Description


The Manager of Admission and Registration is responsible for the efficient operations of all the registration areas, to include staffing the departments, maintains policy and procedures for the department and monitoring compliance of governing regulations associated with registration. Works closely with the Patient Financial Services and Medical Records to ensure required billing/coding information is obtained through the registration / admission process. Abides by hospital and departmental policies and ensures staff is professional and courteous to our patients.

Position Requirements

Education:

High school graduate preferred. College degree in business field preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of three years hospital experience in Admissions/ Registration Department Management experience preferred

Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Knowledge of insurance, billing and office equipment.

Ability to communicate effectively with patients and the health care team.

Ability to work under stressful situations and work independently.

Effective problem-solving skills.

Excellent phone skills and previous work with the public is required.

Certifications:

None required. Advance certifications including CRCA, CRC, CHFP, CCS, CPCH, MBA preferred.
