Position : Starbucks Barista

Reports To : Starbucks Shift Lead

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Customer service or food service experience preferred, but not required
• Friendly and outgoing personality
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Dependable with excellent attendance
• Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 pounds

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare handcrafted beverages, food items, and other menu offerings according to Starbucks recipes and quality standards.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, answering questions, and resolving concerns professionally.
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and accurately process cash, credit card, and mobile transactions.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, including dining areas, beverage stations, equipment, restrooms, and back-of-house spaces.
• Stock and replenish food, beverages, paper products, and supplies throughout each shift.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations while maintaining Starbucks operational standards.
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient operations during high-volume periods.
• Assist with opening, closing, and shift transition duties as assigned.
• Promote a safe working environment by following company safety procedures and reporting hazards promptly.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support business operations.
