Outpatient Physical Therapist

This is a 13-week contract position.

5x8.0 - 40 hours per week

The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans according to patient needs, goals, and physician direction. This role entails delegating and directing all discipline-specific therapy services, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs for effective community reintegration. The therapist serves as an educator for patients, families, students, coworkers, and themselves, while maintaining compliance with organizational policies and values.

Responsibilities:

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and create personalized treatment plans and goals.
• Document medical records accurately and timely, adhering to state, federal, and organizational guidelines.
• Provide therapy services under valid physician orders while ensuring insurance compliance.
• Participate in student training programs, fostering a productive learning environment.
• Engage in ongoing professional development, applying new knowledge to enhance organizational objectives.
• Uphold the highest standards of professional ethics and conduct in accordance with applicable licensing requirements.
• Contribute to performance improvement initiatives within the organization.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 1 year of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Active Physical Therapist license in the state where the role will be performed.
• Previous successful assignments with Select Medical are highly desired.
