Job at a Glance

• This is a long-term contract, with an initial term through 2026 but is planned for extension and would ideally convert to FTE
• Pay rate is $70-$75/hr W2 + eligible to sign up for benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401k) on day 1
• Onsite position 5 days/wk in Birmingham, AL, Pittsburgh, PA, or Dallas, TX
• This role will needs someone who can understand the details of the delivery lifecycle without performing hands-on development and translate business needs into technical solutions
• Position requires excellent communication skills as this role will move between business, product, and technical discussions

Overview
This position involves solution design and review specific to software development, focusing on architecture dissemination into low-level designs within the delivery cruise. The role requires collaboration with dispersed project teams and engagement in front-end analysis and design activities.

Required Skills

• Basic cloud and migration awareness (familiarity with modernizing architectures and cloud preference/migration concepts)
• Familiarity with modern architecture patterns (microservices, containers, streaming platforms) at a conceptual level—enough to document impacts and integration needs
• Data flow & master data concepts (comfortable discussing customer/master data impacts and how distributed apps integrate with shared data services/APIs and batch patterns)
• Vendor/third-party assessment support (help evaluate vendor fit, integration approach, and constraints during selection / RFP phases)
• API / event / file integration literacy (ability to reason about integration options such as APIs, file sharing, and streaming/eventing; capture interface requirements and constraints)
• Architecture documentation & artifacts (create/maintain architecture deliverables using required templates/boilerplate ; ensure completeness before review)
• Omni-channel experience awareness (design with both customer-facing and employee-facing channel needs in mind; consider branch/care center and digital channels)
• Process & workflow modeling (model business and system workflows; identify handoffs, failure points, and optimization opportunities)
• Requirements analysis & solution scoping (translate business goals into clear functional + non-functional requirements; define scope boundaries and assumptions)
• Solution design using standards & governance (produce designs that align to architecture vision/principles/standards ; prepare for architecture council review and compliance)
• System interaction + integration design (conceptual) (understand system interactions and data flows; design integrations across apps and services)
• Tool proficiency for architecture intake & governance workflow: Jira, Confluence, Diagramming (e.g., Gliffy or equivalent)

Required Education

• Minimum bachelor's degree

Preferred Skills

• Experience in revenue support industry background (tech and financial services is a plus)
• Working with core architecture teams and dispersed project teams
• Strong communication skills, stakeholder collaboration, facilitation, analytical thinking, organization, and feedback incorporation
