We are seeking a Banquet Captain (Full-Time & Part-Time Available) to lead event service across a variety of functions, including corporate meetings, weddings, private events, and member gatherings. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to anticipate guest needs in a luxury setting, while role modeling CordeValle’s Core Values. Candidates must have availability to work a flexible schedule including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and support banquet servers and bartenders during events
• Ensure rooms are set up and broken down according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and CordeValle service standards
• Serve as the primary liaison with clients and event hosts, ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction
• Coordinate closely with culinary and beverage teams for seamless execution
• Train, coach, and motivate banquet staff in service excellence
• Monitor staff performance, appearance, and adherence to policies
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards
• Address and resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally
• Complete post-event reporting and provide feedback to management

Job Requirement

• • Previous experience as a Banquet Captain in a hotel, resort, or luxury event environment
  • Minimum 2+ years of banquet/event service experience in an upscale or high-volume setting
  • Proven leadership ability supervising banquet teams and executing complex events
  • Strong communication, organization, and guest service skills
  • Ability to lead calmly and effectively in a fast-paced, high-standard environment
  • Professional appearance and polished demeanor consistent with luxury hospitality
  • Solid knowledge of banquet service standards, food & beverage operations, and event flow
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
  • Flexible availability including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Food Handler and Responsible Beverage certifications (or ability to obtain)

Compensation

• • Hourly base rate of $18.53 per hour
  • Additional service fee per event averaging $20–$40 per hour
