Physician Assistant - Ophthalmology Practice Location: Oak Lawn, IL, 60453 Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our Ophthalmology practice in Oak Lawn, IL. The ideal candidate will work closely with ophthalmologists to provide high-quality patient care, assist in clinical procedures, and support the overall operations of the practice. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive eye exams and patient histories. Assist ophthalmologists with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Diagnose and treat common eye conditions and diseases under physician supervision. Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as visual fields, OCT, and imaging studies. Prescribe medications and manage treatment plans. Provide patient education regarding eye health, treatment options, and post-procedure care. Document patient encounters accurately and maintain medical records. Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure efficient patient flow and quality care. Stay current with advancements in ophthalmology and participate in continuing education. Qualifications Certified Physician Assistant (PA) licensed to practice in Illinois. Experience or strong interest in ophthalmology preferred. Excellent clinical and diagnostic skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
