We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Travel Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a 13-week contract assignment at a healthcare facility. Working under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, the PTA will provide high-quality therapy services designed to help patients improve mobility, strength, balance, and overall functional independence.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated therapy professional to expand their clinical experience, work with a collaborative rehabilitation team, and make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes. The ideal candidate is adaptable, patient-focused, and comfortable transitioning into a new clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist
• Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, strengthening, transfer training, and functional mobility interventions
• Monitor patient response to treatment and communicate progress, concerns, or changes to the supervising Physical Therapist
• Assist patients in improving mobility, strength, endurance, balance, and functional independence
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, mobility techniques, safety precautions, and fall prevention
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with Physical Therapists, nurses, physicians, and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Assist with discharge planning and provide updates regarding patient progress and functional status
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized therapy environment
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while supporting established rehabilitation goals

Requirements

• Required: Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Required: Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of assignment or ability to obtain
• Preferred: Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience
• Strong communication, documentation, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt quickly to new facilities, teams, and patient populations
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the supervising Physical Therapist and interdisciplinary team
• Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care
