Perform repairs on cures concrete.Essential functions and responsibilities listed below:Apply hardening and sealing compounds to cure concrete surfacesSet and check the forms that hold concrete to ensure they are well constructedAlign forms for sidewalks, curbs, and guttersDirect the casting of the concrete and supervise laborers who use shovels or special tools to spread itSpread, level, and smooth concrete, using rake, shovel, hand or power trowel, hand or power screed, and float.Mold expansion jointsPour concrete ensuring that it is level and smoothMonitor how the wind, heat, or cold affect the curing of the concrete throughout the entire processSignal truck driver to position truck to facilitate pouring concrete, and move chute to direct concrete on formsMix and apply cementitious materials for the repair of surface defects in cured concreteChip, scrape, and grind high spots, ridges, and rough projections to finish concrete, using pneumatic chisels, power grinders, or hand toolsPerforming routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is neededWhen not performing the above essential duties and responsibilities, may assist in other operations as designated by the supervisorSafety Policies and Practices: The employee in this job must be knowledgeable about and follow the company's safety policies and procedures as described in the company's safety manual.Specific Equipment and Materials to be used: Operate power vibrator to compact concrete, pneumatic chisel, saws, power grinder and hand toolsEducation: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is preferred but not necessaryWork environment: The work environment/physical demands characteristics described here are representative of those the employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
