Pharmacy Technician Opportunity

A pharmacy technician opportunity is available for a 13+ week contract through the end of the year, located in Eastpointe, Michigan, with a shift schedule of Monday through Friday, 10:00am to 6:30pm. This role focuses on fulfillment tasks within the pharmacy and offers an excellent chance to apply and expand your skills in a detail-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately fill and label prescriptions, including long-term care (LTC) packaging such as multi-dose punch cards and pouch packaging.
• Operate packaging equipment to complete production runs efficiently and on schedule.
• Manage cycle medication exchanges from facilities by checking in and reconciling inventory.
• Process returned medications and apply necessary credits.
• Receive daily orders from wholesalers, stock shelves, rotate stock, and maintain inventory levels.
• Pull products, scan National Drug Codes (NDCs), and stage completed prescriptions for pharmacist review.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace to support timely and precise medication delivery.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active pharmacy technician license in Michigan.
• Minimum of 1+ year experience as a pharmacy technician.
• Experience in a closed-door pharmacy or LTC setting preferred but not required.
• Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification is a plus but not mandatory.
• Ability to quickly learn new software systems; prior experience with Frameworks software is not necessary.

This position does not involve data entry duties and focuses on labeling, packing, and shipping prescriptions. Candidates must be prepared to start immediately and capable of adapting to a fast-paced workflow.
