Lab Associate I - Nights

Additional Information About the Role Christian Hospital has a full-time ( Nights ) Lab Associate opportunity available. Hours 2100 - 730 Shift Differential Pay Rotating holidays / weekends and on-call (2 shifts within a six-week period) Overview Christian Hospital has been serving St. Louis and the surrounding metro areas since 1903. Northwest HealthCare, six miles west of Christian, offers 24-hour emergency care, the Sleep Disorders Center and a variety of outpatient diagnostic and imaging services. Preferred Qualifications Performs non-blood and blood specimen collection, specimen handling/routine processing and clerical duties associated with specimen collection. Responsibilities Perform phlebotomy, positive patient identification, and positive patient interaction, proper collection and specimen integrity. Coordinates a simultaneous series of tasks accurately, including STAT orders and fluctuation in workload, prioritizing work to complete within scheduled hours and established turnaround times. Interacts with lab, clinical and other ancillary departments.
