This position is referral eligible and currently qualifies for a NEW hourly location differential in addition to standard shift and holiday differentials. Adult Transplant Intensive Care Unit University Hospital’s Transplant Intensive Care Unit (TICU) is an 8–16 bed post-abdominal transplant floor. The Registered Nurse on this unit would take care of a variety of patients such as liver, kidney, pancreas, intestine, and multi-visceral transplant recipients. The ideal candidate enjoys a fast-paced work environment with high acuity patients. The TICU team embraces teamwork, the complexity of their patients, and advocates relentlessly for the best possible outcomes. Shift: Day Shift Full Time and Night Shift Full Time Hospital: University Hospital Nursing Skills Gained Use of FloTrac devices Blood gas interpretation EKG interpretation and arrhythmia management Trained in Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) Management of vasopressors Intubated patient care Immunosuppression therapy for transplant patients Unit Highlights Excellent teamwork Employee Spotlight: Meaningful Recognition board – creating a healthy work environment by celebrating wins, fostering education, and providing a helping atmosphere. Strong Professional Governance structure – falls, infection prevention, skin, patient satisfaction Qualifications Requires an Associate of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred. The Registered Nurse (RN) must have graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program. Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of acute care experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO). Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license. Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
