Director of Production

Luxury Fashion Nili Lotan is looking for a Director of Production to join our team. The Director of Production is responsible for leading the day-to-day execution of all production activities across categories, ensuring on-time delivery, cost accuracy, and operational excellence. This role manages the end-to-end production process from development handoff through bulk delivery, driving adherence to calendar milestones and maintaining strong factory relationships.

This role is highly execution-focused and serves as the operational engine of the Production function.

Role Responsibilities:

Production Execution & WIP Management

• Own and manage all Work-In-Progress (WIP) tracking, ensuring accuracy, visibility, and proactive risk identification
• Oversee day-to-day factory communication across all active production orders
• Anticipate, monitor, and resolve production issues impacting delivery, quality, or cost

Calendar Management & Delivery

• Execute and enforce the production calendar across all styles and categories
• Track milestone adherence and elevate delays with clear root cause analysis
• Ensure on-time delivery of bulk production in alignment with company timelines

Costing Execution

• Manage and execute all costing activities in alignment with seasonal timelines
• Track cost changes and maintain accurate costing records across all styles
• Partner with leadership to ensure costing inputs align with margin targets
• Maintain strong day-to-day relationships with factories and vendors
• Monitor vendor performance including on-time delivery, quality, and responsiveness
• Ensure production orders are allocated and executed according to approved plans

Development to Production Handoff

• Own the transition from Product Development to Production
• Ensure all production inputs (tech packs, approvals, raw materials) are complete and accurate
• Identify and elevate any gaps that may impact production readiness

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Partner with Raw Materials, Technical Design, Product Development, and Planning to ensure alignment on production readiness and execution
• Ensure timely communication of risks and status updates to cross-functional teams
• Manage and develop production team members, ensuring consistency in process execution and output
• Drive accountability, organization, and operational rigor across the team

Success Metrics

• WIP accuracy and visibility
• Costing accuracy and adherence to targets
• Calendar adherence and milestone execution

Qualifications & Experience

• 8–12+ years of experience in apparel production or sourcing
• Strong experience managing end-to-end production execution
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Proven ability to manage teams and multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and cross-functional coordination skills

Salary: While the published salary range is a good faith reflection of the targeted salary level for the position, Nili Lotan reserves the right to pay outside of the published range.
