We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Commercial Construction Estimator to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience estimating commercial construction projects, a thorough understanding of construction costs and building practices, and the ability to prepare accurate, competitive bids from plans, specifications, and other project documents.
This position will work closely with project managers, subcontractors, vendors, architects, and clients to develop comprehensive estimates and help ensure projects are accurately priced and successfully pursued.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review architectural, structural, MEP, civil, and other construction drawings and specifications.
- Prepare detailed estimates for commercial construction projects from conceptual through final bid stages.
- Perform quantity takeoffs and accurately calculate labor, material, equipment, subcontractor, and other project costs.
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing.
- Analyze project plans, specifications, addenda, and scope requirements.
- Identify potential project risks, exclusions, omissions, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Prepare detailed bid proposals and supporting documentation.
- Maintain organized estimating files, bid tabs, and cost databases.
- Communicate with subcontractors, suppliers, architects, engineers, and clients to clarify scope and pricing.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and project turnover meetings.
- Track market conditions
