Psychiatry - Addiction Physician

This opportunity offers exceptional flexibility. Physicians may choose:
A part-time position at either the Pennsylvania or New Jersey facility, or
A full-time multi-site role providing care across both locations.
For physicians choosing the full-time option, the schedule consists of a consistent Monday through Friday workweek divided between the two facilities, typically two days at one location and three days at the other.
Working alongside experienced nurse practitioners and multidisciplinary clinical teams, you'll provide comprehensive psychiatric care for patients in detoxification, residential treatment, and outpatient addiction recovery programs while helping individuals achieve lasting recovery from substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders.

Practice Environment
Established addiction treatment center.
Average daily census in the 60s.
Medical detoxification services.
Residential treatment.
Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP).
Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP).
Multidisciplinary care team.
Advanced practice provider collaboration and supervision.
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive psychiatric and substance use evaluations.
Provide ongoing psychiatric care for patients receiving addiction treatment.
Diagnose and manage co-occurring psychiatric disorders.
Prescribe and manage psychiatric and addiction-related medications.
Support detoxification and withdrawal management.
Develop individualized treatment plans.
Supervise and collaborate with nurse practitioners.
Participate in multidisciplinary treatment planning.
Support continuity of care across residential, PHP, and IOP programs.
Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Assist with discharge planning and transitions of care.
