Job Function MedTech Sales Job Sub Function Clinical Sales – Hospital/Hospital Systems (Commission) Job Category Professional All Job Posting Locations New York, New York, United States Job Description We are searching for the best talent for Account Executive, ASI to be in the New York City territory. The Account Executive II – Advanced Surgical Instruments focuses on owning the full range of Ethicon offerings, selling surgical solutions to surgeons and hospitals, and achieving forecast in assigned accounts. Key Responsibilities Own the full breadth of Ethicon’s offerings, including surgical devices and solutions such as hemostasis, energy sealing & dissection, stapling, and wound closure platforms; focus on energy and endomechanical platforms. Sell surgical solutions to surgeons and hospital decision makers, primarily in operating room settings. Manage a designated sales territory, focusing on assigned physicians, hospitals, and institutions. Be accountable for attaining forecasted sales within assigned accounts and territory. Set priorities and make sound business decisions based on understanding sales opportunities within accounts. Demonstrate proper use of products to clinicians in the operating room and manage customer questions and objections in alignment with product indications and sales training. Execute the selling cycle in a professional, ethical, and compliant manner that drives results and leads customers to action. Conduct sales presentations using current selling methods and techniques. Analyze market data, stay updated on market information, and perform business planning including setting priorities. Build excellent relationships with key physicians, hospital personnel, and authorized distributors, and conduct customer education seminars while complying with safety standards and demonstrating product, procedure, and clinical knowledge. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree 2–4 years of relevant business experience in medical sales (medical device, pharmaceutical, biotechnology) or healthcare, with a record of exceptional achievement of sales objectives Valid driver’s license issued in the United States Preferred Qualifications Strong sales performance (high growth, results vs. plan) and ability to target accounts and achieve results through a daily action plan. Excellent collaboration skills with peers, marketing, strategic account managers, external distributors, and key opinion leaders. Hospital‑based pharmaceutical or medical device experience, especially operating room sales, and experience selling to a highly educated and high‑profile customer base. Experience developing new, innovative markets. Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and time‑management skills. Team‑oriented mindset.
