Golf Shop Attendant
Bucknell Golf Club is excited to announce the exceptional career opportunity of Golf Shop Attendant. Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing superior service to the clubs managed by Troon. General description of duties and responsibilities includes checking-in golfers and maintaining a properly functioning tee sheet and pace of play. The role also involves opening, closing, and securing the Pro Shop and carts, bringing carts from the cart barn in the morning and returning them at the end of the day, cleaning, fueling, and checking carts after each use, assisting with receiving merchandise and adhering to purchase order procedures, rotating shop displays, maintaining an organized stock room, assisting the buyer and other shop assistants with stock and golf shop cleanliness, assisting with pricing of merchandise, maintaining proper inventory counts and levels, performing other duties as requested by the Head Professional, and providing service in any and every way.
Experience, education, and certification requirements include having a friendly and positive personality, strong communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, dependability, a strong work ethic, knowledge about the game of golf, ability to make arithmetic computations quickly and accurately, dealing effectively with the public, operating a golf car in a safe manner, high school education or its equivalent, and the ability to fluently speak and write the English language. Physical and other requirements include being able to lift up to 40 lbs. to waist height, frequent bending, turning, kneeling, and stooping, exposure to hot and cold temperatures, standing for extended periods, repetitive motion including computer entry, and normal vision and hearing.
