About the Position

Job Title: Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech (CST) Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Surgical Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (06:00 - 14:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Wisconsin or Compact License Certifications: BLS, CST, NBSTSA Must-Have: - Experience in robotic surgery with Da Vinci Xi Robot - Ability to work in various specialties including orthopedic procedures, gynecological procedures, and general surgery - Participation in call rotation Description: This position requires a certified surgical tech with a focus on robotic surgery. Candidates should have experience with the Da Vinci surgical system. The surgical tech will work in multiple specialties, including general, orthopedic, and gynecological surgeries. A call rotation is part of the job, with approximately one weekend every 3-4 weeks. Candidates must manage any requests for time off that coincide with call responsibilities. Flexibility and adaptability to work in different surgical areas are essential. Specialties include ENT, eye, plastic, podiatry, ortho, spine, neuro, and urology. Heavy orthopedic experience, including total joint procedures, is preferred. Aseptic technique and care for scopes and fiber optic equipment are required for this role. The ability to assist in complex surgical procedures is crucial. Candidates should be comfortable with both open and laparoscopic techniques. Knowledge of sterilization and infection control protocols is expected. The surgical tech will support the surgical team in achieving optimal patient outcomes. Engagement in ongoing training and professional development is encouraged.
