Cedar Corporation is a growing company, that offers a professional, yet flexible work environment. We are seeking a full-time, highly motivated, self-starter to join our team as a Municipal Engineering Team Leader in our Menomonie office.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Hire and manage staff (with concurrence of Service Line Director and President)
\n
• Communicate and update Office Manager on new hires, equipment, and space needs
\n
• Approve and assign new projects to project teams with input from Client Manager(s)
\n
• Oversee and approve time for employees on Team
\n
• Complete annual personnel reviews and recommend salary adjustments to Service Line Director; during reviews, seek input on individual performance from others as appropriate
\n
• Work with Service Line Director to develop new work and respond to proposal requests
\n
• Attend client meetings to assist client managers
\n
• Mentor and develop staff
\n
• Prepare Team workload projections
\n
• Prepare Team business plan
\n
• Manage workload allocation between project Teams
\n
• Monitor budgets for existing projects within Team
\n
• Conduct Team meetings
\n
• Review and recommend training requests for Team to Service Line Director
\n
• Recommend trade show and conference attendance to Service Line Director
\n
• Review and approve new projects as submitted by client managers - Scope, Budget, Schedule
\n
• Build and strengthen client relationships
\n
• Set example of company culture
\n
• Coordinate with Office Manager to promote Team building opportunities.
\n
• Responsible for overall financial performance of the Team
\n

QUALIFICATIONS

\n
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required.
\n
• Licensed Professional Engineer, WI preferred.
\n
• 15+ years of related engineering experience required.
\n
• Excellent oral, written communication and presentation skills.
\n
• Experience handling multiple projects concurrently.
\n
• Previous project and staff management experience.
\n
• Civil 3D CAD experience preferred.
\n
