Doctor of Medicine | Emergency Medicine Location: Alexandria, LA Employer: Adelphi Locums Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Shift Information: 4 days x 10 hours Start Date: ASAP About the Position JOB OVERVIEW Job Title: Physician - Emergency Medicine (ABEM, AOBEM, ABFM) Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Alexandria, LA Service Setting: Hospital - Emergency Department Coverage Type: Clinical Only Coverage Period: November 1, 2025 - Ongoing (minimum 6+ month assignment) Clinical Shift Schedule: 7a-5p, 10a-8p, 3p-1a, 4p-12a, 8p-7a, Thurs-Sun: 7a-5p, 10a-9p, 4p-2a, 8p-7a : 6a-6p, 8a-7p, 12p-11p, 6p-6a Sat-Sun: 6a-6p, 9a-9p, 6p-6a PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: Adults Patient Volume/Census: ~49,500 annual visits (~135/day) Admissions: 22% EMS Percentage: 30% FACILITY INFORMATION No. of Beds in Department: 42 ED beds Trauma Level: Not specified EMR System: Meditech (transitioning to Epic March 2025) Specialty Backup Available: Robust backup specialties on-site Scribe Coverage: 10 hrs/day Staffing (MDDO): 49 hours Mon-Wed; 42 hours Sat-Sun (~3.5 FTE, ~42 shifts/month) APPs (NP/PAs): 46 hours Mon-Fri; 36 hours Sat-Sun Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Coverage PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes Credentialing Timeline: ~90 days Expedited Privileges: No - temporary privileges not allowed Orientation Requirements: EMR training, SCP orientation with shadow shift REQUIRED PROCEDURES Standard emergency medicine procedures JOB REQUIREMENTS Licenses: Active Louisiana medical license Board: BC in ABEM, AOBEM, ABFM (FM must show proof of ED work in past 2 years) Certifications: ATLS (FM only), ACLS, PALS Residency Training: EM or FM residency required Experience: Minimum 2 years ED experience if FM trained #J-18808-Ljbffr
