Accounting Specialist

Your Role As a member of the management consulting team, you will support clients in addressing critical business needs from strategy to operations. Responsibilities Create and maintain records of client financial transactions using Intacct, Yardi, and QuickBooks. Perform daily accounting/bookkeeping activities, including A/R and A/P cycles. Compile financial reports for client management, such as cash receipts and expenditures, accounts payable and receivable, and other items pertinent to operations. Assist with payroll entry. Verify contracts, purchase orders, and vouchers, and prepare reports to substantiate transactions prior to settlement. Reconcile and balance accounts. Apply accounting principles to analyze financial information and prepare reports. Devise, implement, and manipulate manual or computer‑based systems for general accounting. Review data regarding material assets, net worth, liabilities, surplus, income, and expenditures and analyze petty cash, accounts receivable and payable, negotiable securities, and cancelled checks. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Proficiency with MS Office software, including Excel, Word, and Outlook. Associate's Degree in Accounting or related field is required. Experience with Yardi accounting software is preferred. Analytical thinking to respond to complex inquiries. Knowledge and application of GAAP theories and procedures. Ability to identify and resolve financial and payroll issues. Assist in managing day‑to‑day engagement activities to meet and exceed client needs. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks. Effective interaction with clients and professionals to deliver quality services. Compensation and Benefits This is a non‑exempt position, so hours may exceed the standard 40‑hour work week.
