Project Manager

Job Summary The Project Manager oversees the planning, coordination, and execution of electrical installations for new residential construction projects. This includes managing workforce needs, ensuring project schedules and safety compliance, supporting training initiatives, and delivering quality results on time and within budget. Responsibilities Organize and coordinate residential construction projects from pre‑construction through close‑out, evaluate and allocate workforce needs, monitor schedules, and collaborate with the General Superintendent and Field Foremen to uphold project guidelines and expectations. Conduct site inspections to ensure work quality and code compliance (including mechanical/plumbing codes), resolve jobsite issues related to workforce, trade coordination, or general contractor requirements, and address safety issues or incidents promptly. Manage daily documentation, safety reports, and project paperwork; review redline drawings and field markups; participate in weekly jobsite and office production meetings; monitor material deliveries and RFI/RFQ processes; review job costing and progress reports to identify trends and corrective actions. Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training of field staff; provide training on project supervision, field processes, documentation, and material handling; conduct performance evaluations and support crew development. Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of Electrical (NEC) installation standards and codes; lead by example in professionalism, productivity, and adherence to company values; ensure all projects adhere to OSHA and company safety regulations; promote a culture of safety and accountability. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of project management or field supervisory experience in residential construction. High school diploma or equivalent required; trade school, associate, or bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Systems, or related field preferred. Proven experience with job costing, scheduling, quality control, and safety compliance. Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with project‑management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend) preferred. Strong mechanical aptitude, communication, leadership, organizational skills, and ability to read and interpret construction documents, blueprints, and specifications. Willingness to travel to job sites within designated territory, flexibility to adjust schedules for training, emergencies, or project demands, and proactive, professional attitude. Valid driver’s license with clean driving record; must pass background check and drug screening. License required: Yes. Location: United States – Ohio (Dayton).
