CDI Market Supervisor

Overview This is a CDI Market Supervisor, Day Shift position supporting Northwest Medical Center. Responsibilities The Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist (CDIS) Supervisor provides support of CDIS activities to support accuracy and quality in patient records, ensuring the coded diagnoses reflect the patient’s clinical status and care. Develops and maintains a collegial working relationship with physicians, consultants, direct care staff, Coding, and ancillary departments to support long-term system success. Qualifications Education : Required: Associate\'s degree or Diploma in nursing; Preferred: Bachelor\'s degree in nursing. Experience : Required: At least five years of acute hospital nursing experience (e.g., medical/surgical unit, intensive care). At least 2 years of experience in clinical documentation improvement, ICD-10 coding and MS-DRGs. Preferred: Experience in Utilization Management/Case Management, Critical Care, patient outcomes/quality management and/or inpatient coding; 1 year auditing experience; leadership experience in CDIS. Licenses/Certifications : Required: Current Arizona RN license or compact state license. Preferred: RHIT, RHIA, CDIP, CDIS, CCDS, CCS and ICD-10 certification or designation.
