Exciting Opportunity for a Night Shift Nurse!

Job Description:


- Shift: Nights 7 PM - 7 AM
- Type of Patients:
- Medical and surgical patients
- Joint replacements
- General abdominal surgeries
- Spinal surgeries
- All adults, no pediatrics

Summary:


- As a competent nurse in a clinical setting, you will:
- Practice independently with awareness of all relevant aspects of patient care
- Provide both routine and complex care
- Aid in long-range goals and plans
- Develop coping strategies for managing clinical contingencies
- Make appropriate assignments and delegate tasks to other care providers

Responsibilities:


- Meet expectations of the applicable competencies:

- Utilize the nursing process:
- Assessment
- Diagnosis
- Planning
- Intervention
- Evaluation for assigned patients
- Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
- Administer medications and treatments following protocols, while monitoring side effects and effectiveness
- Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
- Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers

Job Requirements:


- Education/Skills:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred
- Experience:
- 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred
- Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications:
- BLS required (AHA only)
- RN License in the state of TX or compact

Work Schedule:


- 7 PM - 7 AM
