Senior Seamstress / Apparel Sample MakerWe are looking for an experienced Senior Seamstress / Apparel Sample Maker to support our apparel product development and production process. In this role, you will create high-quality garment samples, evaluate patterns, and ensure designs are ready for manufacturing.You'll work closely with technical design, product development, and production teams to translate concepts into well-constructed, production-ready garments. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with deep expertise in industrial sewing, garment construction, and sample development.What You'll DoCut fabrics and patterns accurately for sample production and garment prototypingSew and assemble garment samples (e.g., medical scrubs, uniforms, workwear) using industrial sewing machinesPerform alterations, hemming, tailoring, and fit adjustments for samples and fittingsReview patterns and identify construction or fit issues before productionProvide feedback to technical designers and pattern makers on garment feasibility and improvementsTroubleshoot construction challenges and recommend solutions for manufacturing efficiency and qualityInterpret and follow technical packages (tech packs), PLM specifications, measurements, and construction detailsEnsure consistency, accuracy, and quality across all samples and prototypesMeet deadlines in a fast-paced product development environmentUse standardized tools, templates, and sewing methods to ensure repeatable production qualityMaintain a clean, organized, and safe fit lab/sample room/production workspaceWhat You'll Bring7+ years of experience in garment construction, sample making, or apparel productionStrong knowledge of pattern evaluation, sewing techniques, and finishing methodsExpertise with industrial sewing machines, including:Single needle & double needleCoverstitchFlatlockOverlock (serger)Buttonhole machinesAbility to read and interpret technical design specs, tech packs, and PLM systemsExperience working with a variety of fabrics, including:Knit and woven materialsJersey, polyester blends, spandex/stretch fabricsFleece, French terryCotton twill, canvas, sherpaClose attention to detail with strong quality control skillsStrong time management and ability to handle multiple samples/projectsEffective communication skills for cross-functional collaborationAbility to adapt quickly to design changes in a product lifecycle/development processBilingual (English/Spanish) is a plusWhere You'll WorkOffice-based – Fort Lauderdale Headquarters Just a short distance from the beautiful Fort Lauderdale beaches, our home base of South Florida is a perfect reflection of our customer population and culturally rich and diverse team.
