Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Hospice Palliative Care RN for a travel nursing job in Basking Ridge, New Jersey. This position involves providing comprehensive home hospice nursing care, including patient assessments, developing care plans, and ensuring appropriate utilization of services. The role demands collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to deliver quality end-of-life care aligned with hospice regulations and insurance reimbursement guidelines. Job Details Position Description: Performs patient assessments, develops individualized care plans, ensures appropriate utilization of hospice services, and maintains documentation within a health care environment. Manages medication reconciliation and safety protocols, participates in interdisciplinary team meetings every two weeks, and provides mentorship to new staff. Required Qualifications: Current New Jersey RN License; 2-3 years of RN experience in home hospice environment; experience using an electronic medical record system; excellent critical thinking and communication skills; valid New Jersey drivers license; BLS certification. Schedule: Days, 8 hours shift, 37.5 hours per week, every other weekend with compensatory days during the week. Additional Information: The role includes providing orientation and cross-training for staff, participating in performance improvement activities, and supporting agency growth initiatives. Candidates must demonstrate knowledge of hospice regulations, insurance reimbursement, and safe medication management, including routine medication reconciliation.
