Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A Per Diem retail pharmacist opportunity is available in Huntington, TX, offering flexible scheduling on select dates throughout October and November. This role focuses on delivering top-tier pharmaceutical care and exceptional customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.
Schedule Highlights:
- Friday, October 9
- Monday, October 12
- Thursday, November 5 & Friday, November 6
- Thursday, November 12 & Friday, November 13
- Wednesday, November 25 (hours: 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.)
- Friday, November 26 (hours: 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.)
Key Responsibilities:
- Uphold core company values consistently through professional conduct.
- Provide outstanding customer service aligned with organizational mission and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all regulations, including HIPAA and state pharmacy laws.
- Perform final verification of prescriptions issued by authorized prescribers.
- Counsel patients regarding drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and storage.
- Manage quality assurance processes, control substance security, and proper disposal of hazardous waste.
- Respond to pharmacy phone inquiries and manage voicemail prescription requests.
- Effectively handle patient counseling and resolve customer issues both in person and via phone.
- Notify leadership immediately about any potential legal or regulatory violations.
- Note: This location does not provide vaccinations or medication therapy management (MTM) services.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year recent pharmacy experience in a retail setting.
- Current and clear Texas pharmacist license.
- Proficient with Pioneer RX pharmacy software system.
