Salary : $65K- 75K/YR.

Sterling Engineering is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer for a leading manufacturer of electrical heating components near Bensenville, IL. This is a great company to work with that has great benefits and loves to promote within!

Job Duties:

• Design products according to customer requirements.
• Create manufacturing drawings and release orders.
• Program sheet metal parts for production.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
• Maintain design files and drawings according to ISO 9001:2015 standards.
• Provide technical support to customers and the sales team.
• Assist customers with new projects and calculations.
• Evaluate customer returns as needed.
• Research raw materials and maintain drawings and specifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (GPA 3.0+)
• Proficiency in 2D software and Microsoft Office
• 2+ years of relevant experience (preferred)
• Understanding of basic electrical circuits
• Knowledge of sheet metal design
• Experience in sheet metal programming (preferred)
• 3D modeling skills using SolidWorks (preferred)
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes and practices
