Travel Nurse RN - Labor and Delivery - $2,247 per week

Overview Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing seeks a travel RN in Labor & Delivery for a 13‑week assignment in Los Alamos, New Mexico. The assignment begins ASAP, involves 12‑hour night shifts and requires 36 hours per week. Qualifications One year of recent experience as a Labor & Delivery RN Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC) NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification Preferred: AWHONN Fetal Monitoring Certification Preferred: STABLE and ACLS Certifications (AHA/ARC) Essential Work Functions Communicate labor & delivery procedures to patients and families Administer prescribed medications and treatments Prepare equipment and aid physician during labor, delivery, and examinations Provide immediate postpartum care, including assessment & stabilization of mother and newborn Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and other team members Respond to obstetric emergencies using evidence‑based protocols Document patient care, assessments, and interventions accurately in the medical record Participate in quality improvement initiatives Perform fetal monitoring and interpret results Assist in cesarean sections and other obstetric procedures Comply with all regulatory standards Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of labor & delivery nursing Required Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and interpersonal communication skills Ability to read, write, and communicate in English Proficiency with PC skills and following written and verbal instructions Physical: remain in a stationary position, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, bend Interpersonal: work with a variety of personnel, maintain a positive attitude and professionalism Technical/Motor: fine manipulation, pushing/pulling, assisting with procedures Mental: cope with frequent contact, meet deadlines under pressure, work under supervision or independently, handle irregular activity schedules, maintain concentration to detail Sensory: visual acuity and effective communication Benefits Highly competitive pay for travel professionals Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance with first‑day coverage Paid Time Off after 1560 hours Life and short‑term disability offered 401(k) matching Aggressive refer‑a‑friend bonus program 24/7 recruiter support Reimbursement for licensure and CEUs Compensation Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation).
