Job Summary:
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position in Apple Valley, California. This role involves providing specialized care for neonatal patients in a level III NICU with an average of 190 births per month. The position offers a fast-paced environment requiring technical expertise and compassionate patient care, with scheduling based on days shifts and working three of the five major holidays.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Dayshift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: California state license (compact license accepted), at least 2 years of NICU nursing experience with a minimum of 1 year in the specialty, BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience managing PICC lines and midlines, neonatal resuscitation, and management of high-risk deliveries.
• Float: May float to Medical Burn unit for compatible patients if experienced.
• Additional Information:
  • Must be willing to work three of the five major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, New Years Day).
  • Must include all RTO requests at submission; approval depends on facility needs.
  • No pass-through surgeries; specific procedures include central lines, spinal taps, intubations, and use of specialized equipment such as CPAP, BIPAP, and high-frequency ventilators.
  • Candidate will be expected to respond to candidates references covering a minimum of 6 months within the last three years.
  • This position may involve floating between adjacent facilities if necessary, with provider approval.
