Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPlant Maintenance TechnicianThe Plant Maintenance Technician oversees and performs the preventive and reactive maintenance duties required for the manufacturing operations of the plant. Priorities of the Maintenance Technician include management and execution of PM schedules, repair of any equipment needed to maintain maximum production rates, and maintenance of an adequate spare parts inventory. This position requires the flexibility to work 40+ hours per week, weekends as required, and to fulfill on-call duties for repairs and assistance. The Plant Maintenance Technician reports directly to the Maintenance Manager, Production Manager, and/or Plant Manager.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Practice proper PPE compliance and maintain a safe working record and environmentImmediately communicate unsafe conditions, acts, or injuries to the Plant ManagerPractice proper forklift operation and preventive maintenanceMaintain facility housekeepingMaintain and build job skills through company training programsTroubleshoot and repair equipment that is not operating properlyEffectively manage uptime performanceMaintain adequate inventories of spare parts and equipmentEnsure that all equipment is kept in proper and safe working conditionDirect and perform scheduled preventive maintenance dutiesCommunicate with all plant personnelCommunicate with support servicesAssist with service team projectsUnderstand and practice core valuesJob Skills: This position should possess the following skills/knowledge:Basic industrial mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and pneumatic skills, including troubleshootingUnderstanding of manufacturing processes, including troubleshootingInventory managementStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with plant personnelBasic computer skillsUnderstanding of the proper use of small hand and power toolsStrong time management and task prioritization skillsSelf-motivationFacility organizationEducational Requirements: High School Diploma, Vocational School Diploma, or equivalentPreferred Experience: 3–5 years of experience as a line operator or similar training and experiencePhysical Requirements:Ability to repeatedly lift up to 75 pounds to a height of 6 feetAbility to stand and remain mobile for a minimum of 8 continuous hoursAbility to work in extreme temperatures (hot and cold) for extended periodsAbility to use hands, arms, and legs to handle and transport materials and finished goods daily#1437ST
