Director Of Dining ServicesWadsworth Glen, a 102-bed skilled nursing facility in Middletown, is hiring a Director of Dining Services!Salaried role with weekly pay up to $30 an hour.As the department head, the primary purpose of your position is to assume responsibility for planning, organizing, developing and directing the overall operation of the Dining Services Department to ensure that quality nutritional services are provided on a daily basis and insure that the dining services department is maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner.Education and Experience:Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or its equivalent.A minimum of two (2) years of experience in a supervisor capacity in a hospital, skilled nursing care facility or other related medical field is preferred.Training in cost control, food management, diet therapy, etc.Duties:Plan, prepare, and serve all therapeutic diets in accordance with guidelines and regulationsEnsure sanitation, safety, and quality standards are maintained in all dining services areasEducate and train department staff on all aspects of dining services functionsFormulate menu planning with guidance from dietician and ensure menus are accurately adhered toDelegate authority to competent staff in your absenceProvide dining services for in-house functions and ensure quality and quantity of all deliveriesDemonstrate correct safety techniques and ensure staff compliance with privacy practicesMaximize employee potential and maintain up-to-date evaluationsSpecific Requirements:Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.Must be knowledgeable of dining service practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations and guidelines governing dining services functions in the long-term care facility, including JCAHO.Must possess leadership ability and willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise professional and non-professional personnel.Must have the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, procedures, etc., of the Dining Services Department.Benefits:Competitive and Weekly PayHoliday Pay for Hourly and Salaried EmployeesOvertime Pay for Hourly EmployeesCareer Advancement OpportunitiesExclusive Employer Discount ProgramAvailable for Eligible Team Members:Employer Paid Life Insurance401(k) with Employer MatchVacation and Personal TimeHealth, Dental, and Vision InsuranceWe are an equal opportunity employer that values diversity at all levels.
