Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,190 - $2,550 (competitive travel nurse pay)
• Location: Murfreesboro, TN (Rutherford County) - Tennessee home health opportunity
• Employment Type: Travel Contract (Homecare / Home Health Nurse)
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Hours per Week: 40
• Shift Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• Shift Duration: 8 hour days
• On Call/Weekend Requirement: Minimum 1 weekend per month (with LPN backup)
• Dress Code: Solid colored scrubs
• Mileage Reimbursement: Yes - mileage reimbursed between visits (from first to last patient)

Job Requirements (Registered Nurse / Home Health Nurse)

• Minimum 3 years RN experience
• At least 1 year of home health experience as an RN (home health nursing / skilled nursing visits)
• Current RN license for the state of Tennessee
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)

Preferred Skills (Homecare & Travel Nurse)

• Experience with medication administration, wound care, and patient education
• Strong assessment, documentation, and care plan implementation skills
• Comfortable working independently as a home health nurse and coordinating with interdisciplinary teams

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care and compassionate support to patients receiving home health services in Murfreesboro and Rutherford County
• Perform nursing procedures to treat and rehabilitate clients according to individualized care plans
• Conduct patient assessments, develop and update care plans, and evaluate client care outcomes
• Supervise and motivate staff as needed, participate in client needs assessment, and implement client care
• Ensure psycho-social needs, safety, and physical comfort of clients are identified and met
• Observe, record, and report all pertinent information to supervisors and physicians in a timely manner
• Provide patient and family teaching on disease management, medication administration, wound care, and home safety
• Adhere to the nursing process, agency policies, and state regulations for home health care
• Record all pertinent information on clinical records and notify leadership/physicians of changes in patient condition
