Traveling Superintendent - Waterproofing and Exteriors

Based in Carmel, IN, we are an industry leader specializing in multifamily redevelopment, exterior renovations, and value-add construction projects across markets nationwide.

We are seeking a Traveling Superintendent with expertise in building envelope systems, exterior renovations, and waterproofing projects. This role will lead field operations for multifamily redevelopment projects, ensuring exterior improvements are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Lead all onsite construction activities related to exterior renovations, waterproofing, and building envelope improvements
• Manage subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel performing window replacement, door replacement, siding installation, flashing, weather barriers, sealants, and facade improvements
• Oversee project schedules, critical path activities, material deliveries, and three-week look-ahead planning
• Conduct quality control inspections to ensure building envelope systems are installed according to manufacturer specifications and project requirements
• Identify and resolve field issues involving water intrusion, moisture management, exterior detailing, flashing transitions, and weatherproofing systems
• Maintain project safety standards through toolbox talks, OSHA compliance, jobsite inspections, and proactive risk mitigation
• Coordinate inspections, punch list completion, owner turnover, and closeout activities
• Monitor project costs, support change management efforts, and coordinate with Project Managers throughout project execution
• Maintain daily reports, site documentation, progress updates, and project communication with stakeholders
• Build strong working relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of construction field experience
• 3+ years of Superintendent experience managing multifamily redevelopment, exterior renovation, restoration, or building envelope projects
• Strong experience with waterproofing systems, windows, exterior doors, siding, flashing, air barriers, weather barriers, and exterior finishes
• Experience with wood-frame construction, slab-on-grade construction, and major site development projects
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, shop drawings, specifications, and manufacturer installation requirements
• Strong understanding of water intrusion prevention, moisture management, building envelope best practices, and exterior quality control
• Proven experience managing subcontractors, schedules, safety programs, and field operations
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout the United States
• OSHA 30 certification preferred
