Night Shift Critical Facilities Technician

We are recruiting Critical Facilities Technicians , night shift, to operate and maintain a brand-new, cutting-edge data center facility in Lancaster, TX , just south of Dallas. Position Offers

• Above market Pay: CFT $40-50, + 10% night shift differential, + eight hours of built-in OT pay every other week

• This role follows a 2-2-3 rotating 12-hour shift schedule. Never work more than three scheduled days in a row, enjoy a three-day weekend every other week, and work approximately 15 days per month. The hours are 7p to 7a.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain critical and non-critical equipment and systems to ensure 100% uptime at a mission critical data center.
• Oversee power, cooling, and environmental conditions within data halls.
• Manage planned and unplanned work, including preventive maintenance, using a CMMS.
• Assist in creating, revising, and executing operating procedures and PM inspections.
• Troubleshoot and document electrical and mechanical issues, resolve them quickly, and escalate appropriately.
• Manage and respond to emergencies and critical issues for complete recovery.
• Assist with physical and logical installations and adhere to change control activities.
• Handle assigned tasks efficiently and effectively manage/escort external contractors.
• Follow all employer policies, procedures, and safety laws, and maintain accurate facility data.
• Assist with general facility operations, training, and construction/commissioning projects as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Prior military or technical school training, preferred
• For the CFTII role, 2-3 years of experience working in a data center or mission critical environments; this experience is not required for the CFTI role.
• Experience with building electrical, mechanical, BMS and fire systems, preferred
• Electrical or mechanical license (HVAC), preferred
